Pismo to Carmel: One Taste at a Time – Part 2 Join us as we travel from Pismo Beach to Carmel-by-the-Sea tasting good food, wines and stopping at sights along the scenic coast of California!
I heard the words “this is really livin’” for the first time in Carmel-by-the-Sea, uttered by my brother-in-law during dinner at a local restaurant there. Remembering that occasion, they seemed so perfect to me. I will never forget them.
I fell in love with Carmel-by-the-Sea on my first visit. And when my wife-to-be visited Carmel with me, she fell in love with it, too. That is where we were married. The Blog Articles here on Really Livin’ are all about our adventures in and around Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. However, we also include stories of a few other beautiful and memorable places along the California coast.
Some of our greatest joys involve traveling, taking pictures of our travels, and writing about those things, so that we may share with others our thoughts about those travels and experiences… It’s all about the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the tastes of the places we visit.
We hope you enjoy Really Livin’ and have some memorable adventures of your own!

We launched this website in 2004 after getting married on a beautiful bluff just south of Carmel-by-the-Sea, on the patio of a small restaurant called Rocky Point.
